Esteban Jobbágy receives Argentina's Houssay Award

Dr. Esteban Jobbágy (Duke Ph.D. 2002) was presented Argentina's Houssay Award on 17 August 2010. The Bernardo Houssay Award is the nation's highest award for a young scientist. In the photo, Argentina's President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner presents the award to Dr. Jobbágy. Jobbágy earned a Certificate in Ecology while at Duke and was advised by Prof. Rob Jackson. Jobbágy studies the cycling of materials in ecosystems and the effects of land-use change on ecosystem biogeochemistry.
