I can see from the website logs that some of you had trouble uploading photos and/or CVs.
I have verified and resolved this issue.

Please try again.  Thank you for your patience through these growing pains.

In case you would like to grab your photo or other info from the old UPE website for use in the new website, Wiil Cook has the entire old site stored in his archive:

To all UPE students, staff, and faculty: To set up your account on the new UPE website, just hit "Create New Account" on the top right of the home page. Fill in the requisite email, password and other info. Once you get login access, log in and go to "Create Content", also on the top right. Hit "profile" and populate it with a picture, contact info, links, CV, etc! You can add UPE-related events to the calendar (UPE Seminars should go there!). Post your publications, start a blog, add photos of yourself and your lab mates at your research.

Jason and I engineered a tripod hoist capable of lifting at least 750lbs out of $30 of scrapyard aluminum and $30 of bolts and pins from Lowe's. I looked into buying one--they cost $1-2 thousand online. We're going to use it to lift pieces of taproots onto a trailer after we've freed them from soil with a combination of backhoe, shovel and chainsaw effort. Pictures are posted as well.

Hello, fellow website testers!

I'm writing to you from sunny Montana (sunny for the moment, anyway). Many of us in UPE have study sites in distant locations. Whether we're in Durham or scattered around the globe, I hope we'll find that participating in website updates and feeds will give us a stronger sense of UPE community. I admit that these are high hopes for a piece of virtual real estate...but hey, we won't know until will try it!

Speaking of UPE, are we really the University Program in Ecology, the Graduate Program in Ecology, or something else?
